Five months ago, James Gunn began teasing his new Superman film. He announced on his X account that he was going with the Superman title, and the expected release time is July 2025. I enjoyed Superman & Lois, which had four seasons produced by The CW. I found it engaging, and the characters adhered to the older writing style, which was cool.
David Corenswet has the role of the upcoming Superman but unfortunately, it doesn’t look like he will be appearing at the San Diego Comic-Con this year. However, Superman will have a strong representation at the event through merchandise, autographs, interviews and panels, as Superman & Lois share their last season with fans, and the Superman franchise is all out at the big deal convention.
While all of this is exciting, James Gunn is not content with the status quo. He is determined to bring something new and refreshing to the table. He shares our sentiment that the superhero story is overrepresented and hopes to steer us back to the essence of the iconic character, promising a unique and intriguing take on the Superman franchise.
