The Roundup of this Year’s Skin

As we travel through the year, we need not let go of what we have learned, so we nourish and look after our bodies and skin. It’s about giving ourselves that buoyancy to look good, aging well, and retaining that youthful glow for decades.

As I pointed out earlier this week, not everything is what we put on our face but what we put in the body. Every day, you are actively shaping the future you, and who doesn’t want to take control of that and look good, yeah?

Nourish

As we kicked off the skin series, which will be ongoing, we had a look at nourishing our bodies. Nourish is a series about the transformative power of getting enough sleep, good nutrition, and fresh air. You look more rested and energised, with an optimal result for your skin.

The Skin Club

As this year progressed, I had the thought that an ongoing, supportive Skin Club would keep us all on track. By utilizing a free version and a Patreon version, for a small fee (USD $3.99 per month), we can build a support group. Patreon allows questions and I can publish my industry secrets there, such as [specific industry secrets].
Our first skin club plan includes a balanced diet that’s both nutritious and delicious. We’re looking at incorporating a juice twice a week, a salad twice a week, plenty of water, and eggs (or an equivalent ). Eggs, often hailed as a superfood, are rich in iron, protein, and vitamin A, providing a solid nutritional foundation for our health and wellness journey.
And here’s a delightful surprise-you can also enjoy a glass of red wine 2-3 times a week. Red wine, known for its antioxidant properties, can be stored without refrigeration , making it a convenient and enjoyable addition to our diet. Just remember to check the label before you buy, and you’re all set to savor the health benefits of red wine.

Practical Tips

In May , we explored practical tips for skincare and healthy eating, including DIY at home ideas. From the importance of facials to the role of diet, these tips are designed to be practical for your schedule, budget, and skin care goals. It’s crucial to remember that a holistic approach, which considers all aspects of your lifestyle, is the most effective and successful. After all, life isn’t transformed by a tube of lotion alone.

When in Season

This year we have taken a look at salads, soups, watermelon, and lycopene. Which will come in useful when we do some cleansing weeks and healthy months in the future.

Most importantly, just stick with what’s in season or good products/produce that are easy to obtain. It’s simple, it’s straightforward, and it’s effective.

Tracking

For September and October put a menu plan together, along with some goals. Keep them simple and experiment with some seasonal recipes.

For instance, if it’s Fall where you live, indulge in the joy of pumpkin soup, treat yourself with a homemade pumpkin spice latte . Try out the delightful flavors of pumpkin spice or apple cinnamon overnight oats, and savor a fall vegetable tray bake with your favorite protein for dinner.

If it’s going into spring for you, then fresh fruit juices, light and refreshing sandwiches, and nutrient-packed salads could work for you. For instance, a watermelon and mint juice, a grilled chicken and avocado sandwich, or a quinoa and mixed greens salad.

Remember, your body is more than skin deep. By enjoying a variety of meals and ensuring good nutrition, you’re taking practical steps to keep yourself motivated and not bored with a skincare routine.
