Fortnitemares has dropped, Disney has bought into Fortnite to the tune of 10% ownership. The crossover this year is the ever-popular Scooby-Doo, which is still owned by Warner Bros. The franchise is still going strong with WB Kids on YouTube, playing it for Spooky October.

The Silly Season

In Australia, it’s the beginning of the silly season, which technically means high summer. Well, it used to be, but thanks to social media, it is exploding everywhere. 
In North America, that includes Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year, vacations and a lot of sports. The Winter Olympics aren’t far away in early 2026. Ice Hockey and American Football are rating quite well, along with winter sports. 
In Australia, it is high tourist season with non-stop sports, some other gatherings, and Christmas and New Year. 
All of these are opportunities for lucrative advertising, sports coverage, and, of course, social media, including some live streaming.
